Sales is the Highest Paying Hard Work – 5 Steps to Creating a Six Figure Income

Only five percent of the U.S. population earned six figure salaries or more. Entertainment and sports are areas where the renowned make astronomical sums of money. But it is very uncertain career options and the percentage of the super-successful people in these lines is very low.

The norm in our country is a college degree and six-figure salary chase. Aviation, finance, law, medicine, and sales are the areas that you can earn six figure salaries. In fact, sales is one area where you can take the salary that you want. The salary that you earn will be directly proportional to your work ethics and culture. It depends on how much you will make as a sales person. Take it easy and work lackadaisically, a low-income returns.

In sales it is very possible to work hard and earn a six figure income or more. Look at the statistics, the average annual earnings of sales representatives was $ 64.440, for the wholesale and manufacturing, technical and scientific products, in May 2006. These figures include commissions. There are also other factors such as employee stock options, health and life insurance, pension, vacation and sick leave, personal use of a company car, frequent flyer miles, free holiday trips, and gift packages that can lead to many more. With a little effort and the collection of a few years experience it is not difficult for the six figure mark for that.

Get a college degree in marketing

In normal times, with a sales job with high pay is possible if you have a college degree in sales and marketing. Students from top business schools make it easy for the six figure bracket. MBA alumni of the Stanford Business School, earned a median salary of $ 225, 000 after five years of their graduation (Source: Forbes). MBA from some top business schools do not start with six figure salaries. MBA from Harvard Business School, University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and University of Michigan Ross School of Business, some of the top universities in the U.S., six-figure incomes earned in the beginning of the year. Not everyone can manage a degree of the top universities. MBA degrees, even for ordinary schools to help improve sales jobs and the chance to earn more. There is good competition for jobs of a representative and a college degree gives an edge. A college degree helps to better than a high school diploma in a sales job. In 2006, nearly 44% of the sales force in the U.S., graduate or bachelor’s degree compared with 27% high school diploma holders or less qualified people. For technical and scientific product sales college degrees are a must. Of course, even the school drop outs their mark in the sale make. But they are exceptions. Sales experience and online business degree can also serve the purpose of earning more in sales and a resurrection of the corporate learning. (Source: BLS).

Find Your Niche

If a person you can be comfortable selling to sell a certain type of product. Your skills, personality type, family background and education will make you more fit for the sale of a product. Some are good in the car industry, some in the finance, and some in the housing sector. Each sector has sub sectors. Even in the automotive sector, there are people who could be good on the sale of used cars, as you can excel in the sale of new cars. A person who loves driving sales couples and families around a tour of the homes offered for sale to participate are more likely to succeed in the area. Visualize the type of product you will be enthusiastic about selling and what type of clients you would be interested in handling. You must choose a field that you love.

Know Your Sector

Sector thoroughly understand you correctly to sell. Loving simply a sector will not do a top seller. If you do not apply common sense and do not understand how the financial market works, how can you excel in selling financial products? Also, well-informed about the latest events and developments in your field of operation.

Be passionate about selling your product. Do not just another vendor. Be a driven sales representative with a remarkable product. Energetic sales. Master your sales process and go about selling your product with enthusiasm. Keep the client’s needs at the front, the sales figures are taken automatically handled.

hone your sales skills

Sales skills ultimately boil down to a basic skill, but you must keep them continually improve the maximum results. For example, good listening is a basic skill required to succeed on sale. To a great seller you must try in the spirit of the customers and read what they need. Listen carefully to what they say, the words and body language they use windows to their intentions and interest in buying the product.

No other career offers an opportunity to make a six figure annual income. How soon do you want to achieve – it all depends on your attitude and enthusiasm.
